What You Need To Know About Bing Adwords Traffic?

Blogging

As far as search engines go, Bing Ads has made great strides in the past 24 months at catching up with Google Adwords. The fact of the matter is there are millions of people online each and every day searching the web for information.

The majority of these searchers are going to find everything they need by using one of the popular search engines. To that end, Bing—and its partner, Yahoo!—have risen in popularity and now rival Google in the amount of daily users.

The good news for internet marketers is that there is currently an opportunity to use Bing’s paid search platform in order to get a product or service in front of people who are actively searching for it on Bing.com or Yahoo.com.

How Bing Adwords Paid Traffic Works

Like its counterparts, Bing Ads pay-per-click (PPC) is pretty simple and straightforward. After you have created an account, you will be setting up campaigns and bidding on the keywords that you want your product or service displayed for.

From there, Bing Ads will charge you each time a person clicks on your link when coming from a specific keyword. Your cost-per-click (CPC) will vary depending on how competitive the keyword is.

Bing Text Ads

When you are building your PPC campaigns within Bing Ads, you will have the option to make your advertisement text ads or display ads.

Text ads are the advertisements that show above the search results when someone is actively searching for information having to do with one of the keywords you’re bidding on.

It is important to note that when creating text ads in Bing, there are certain criteria that you need to follow in order to get your ad approved. For example, the grammar must be correct in the ad and using capital letters excessively is not allowed.

Bing Display Ads

Bing Text and Display Ads

The other part of advertising on Bing is their display ads. These differ from text ads because instead of being served in the search results, display ads will be shown to users who have an interest in your topic but are surfing websites within the Bing or Yahoo content network.

That said, in your Bing PPC dashboard, you’ll have the option to create your own display ads, which will be shown across their network of sites. One of the things that you need to keep in mind when creating display ads in Bing is that the size of the ad is important because it relates to where it gets placed.

The specific place where your advertisement appears will have a direct effect on your click-through rate (CTR) and ultimately your success. Make sure you are creating display ads that are relevant and will appear above the fold of any website (the part you can see on your screen without having to scroll down).

Two Major Differences between Bing Ads and Google Adwords PPC

In general, Bing has a lower CPC than that of Google. Of course, it depends on the exact keywords or placements that you are bidding on, but for the most part you can expect to pay less when using Bing Ads. Additionally, when you are using Bing Text Ads, you will be able to add more characters to your advertisement—which means better targeting and more responsive customers.

Of course, there are other differences between the two networks, but these two main ones should be enough to convince anyone interested in PPC to look into Bing Ads and not just Google Adwords.

Take the time to give the Bing paid advertising platform a try and you will not be sorry. Alternately, if you’re interested in having traffic generated for you, click here to learn how our lead generation system works.
